After some fancy dribbling in the 12th minute, Argetim Çyfeku managed to get in a good position for a shot. Olympique Lyonnais's supporters rose to their feet, but Argetim Çyfeku was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pali Shelgu breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Juxhin Boshnjaku in the 19th minute of play forced Olympique Lyonnais's goalkeeper Gëzim Çobani to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Komsi SK's Margel Papa slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Gëzim Çobani. That made the score 1-0 after 38 minutes of play. In the 41st minute, Margel Papa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Erald Hasa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
