Latif Dhembi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Azdreni having to interfere. When Eneid Berishaj came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Howden FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eneid Berishaj couldn't finish the play. Neritian Llakmani took the ball and in the 11 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rako Hazgani. Rako Hazgani dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Zani Tapa's late challenge caught a Sllovë's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Zani Tapa helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Howden FC getting a freekick after 14 minutes play. Zani Tapa hit a great ball. 15 minutes into the match, Qerim Angjeli sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ahmed Azdreni threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Qerim Angjeli this time. After 15 played minutes Howden FC got a freekick which was hit by Minir Prenga. Luli Tafilaj could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Ahmed Azdreni made a huge save. Latif Dhembi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Howden FC's Ahmed Azdreni got control of the ball when Luli Tafilaj tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 33 minutes, Juli Çerçizi mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Sllovë and the Howden FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rako Hazgani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Ahmed Azdreni was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Blerim Boba. Sllovë's Latif Dhembi got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eneid Berishaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rako Hazgani having to interfere. The supporters of Howden FC booed when Sllovë was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Qerim Angjeli didn't get a good kick on the ball. Neritian Llakmani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Rako Hazgani tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Latif Dhembi was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute, Eneid Berishaj got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Neritian Llakmani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Howden FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Neritian Llakmani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rako Hazgani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eneid Berishaj fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rako Hazgani having to interfere. 62 minutes into the match, Sllovë's goal looked a bit too open when Eneid Berishaj came free, but Rako Hazgani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Latif Dhembi in the 64th minute of play forced Howden FC's goalkeeper Ahmed Azdreni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luli Tafilaj sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sllovë's Rako Hazgani proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 83rd minute of the match, managed to save Sllovë from getting a goal against them. Ahmed Azdreni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Latif Dhembi in the 97th minute of the match. The Howden FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Howden FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
