The audience was convinced that Frenk Naço's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Keltrin Xhika was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. After having played for 32 minutes, Arzen Xhemollari managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waterfront 80's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arzen Xhemollari was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 40 minutes into the match, Golden Team's goal looked a bit too open when Arzen Xhemollari came free, but Rinus Kauffeld reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Frenk Naço to make the kick off. In the 56th match minute, Golden Team was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Frenk Naço to maneuver through the defense. Keltrin Xhika showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Frenk Naço, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. The supporters of Golden Team booed when Waterfront 80 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 59 match minutes in a wonderful position. Çerçiz Premci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Waterfront 80's Keltrin Xhika played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabricio Gergori in the 90th minute of play. Pelion Cake kicked well hit freekick during the 91st minute of the match. Arzen Xhemollari charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Arzen Xhemollari the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Golden Team fans cheered their team off the field, for while Waterfront 80 had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
