Howard Briggs might have been able to make a better finish in the 4th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Joey Hallam. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Howard Briggs ran back to his position shaking his head. Joey Hallam stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Teobald Gacki's shot from short distance in the 6th minute. After having played for 7 minutes, Mathias Hammarberg managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Westcliff on Sea's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mathias Hammarberg was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mathias Hammarberg fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joey Hallam having to interfere. With a little luck, Turno Noche's Joey Hallam got control of the ball when Mathias Hammarberg tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Westcliff on Sea booed when Turno Noche was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ged Radcliffe didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Furniss charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alexander Furniss the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Turno Noche getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Alexander Furniss hit a great ball. In the 27th minute, Luke Hutchinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teobald Gacki sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Teobald Gacki struck a weak shot in the 32nd minute. Joey Hallam didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westcliff on Sea. In the 39th minute, Luke Hutchinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Teobald Gacki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Mathias Hammarberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Turno Noche's Garth Alsop got a free kick in the 44th minute. In the 46th minute Eric Duffield managed to get in a great position but fired away a sharp shot that went outside the goal on the goalie's right hand side. It could just as well have been a goal. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Mathias Hammarberg stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Joey Hallam came out of the goal in the 54th minute to try and stop a shot by Westcliff on Sea's Mathias Hammarberg. But to his dismay, Mathias Hammarberg quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. Mathias Hammarberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Joey Hallam tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Mathias Hammarberg had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Mathias Hammarberg's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joey Hallam was relentless in the 65th minute of the game. In the 73rd minute, Ralf Worth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Teobald Gacki took the ball and in the 74 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joey Hallam. Joey Hallam dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 4-0. Mathias Hammarberg took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Joey Hallam. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Hutchinson in the 84th minute of play forced Westcliff on Sea's goalkeeper Amri Solihin to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 85th minute, Alexander Furniss hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 96 minutes into the match, Westcliff on Sea's Teobald Gacki sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Joey Hallam narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Westcliff on Sea's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
