But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Robbie Lambert couldn't finish the play. If Damon Tonkin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of New Ash Green FC booed when FC Santa Coloma was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ray Bostock didn't get a good kick on the ball. Denis Evans hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Malcolm Fields, 23 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. In the 27th match minute, FC Santa Coloma was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Glenn Worrall to maneuver through the defense. Wesley Porter hit a great freekick 33 minutes into the match. 38 minutes into the match, FC Santa Coloma's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Tonkin came free, but Toby Wiltshire reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 43 minutes into the match, New Ash Green FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Wild came free, but Ivan Worth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Damon Tonkin to strike the kick off in the second half. Through an outstanding action, after 52 minutes, Ivan Worth successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Walter Silk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The New Ash Green FC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when New Ash Green FC's Robbie Lambert looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Patrick Wild received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Ivan Worth tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Damon Tonkin in the 81st minute of play forced FC Santa Coloma's goalkeeper Toby Wiltshire to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Walter Silk struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. Ivan Worth didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Santa Coloma. 88 minutes into the match, New Ash Green FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Wild came free, but Ivan Worth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in FC Santa Coloma's zone, Robbie Lambert stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Toby Wiltshire came out of the goal and Robbie Lambert tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes into the match, New Ash Green FC's goal looked a bit too open when Patrick Wild came free, but Ivan Worth reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Patrick Wild recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. New Ash Green FC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
