The supporters of Associazione Calcio Milan booed when Quilmes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Stuart Boxall didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Blowman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Crawshaw in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Quilmes's Bart Smart got a free kick in the 10th minute. The long shot by Zack Halliwell in the 11th minute really tested Pierre Blowman's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Chaz Morley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stuart Boxall in the 12th minute of play. After 18 minutes, Stuart Boxall made it 0-2 with a short kick to the right side. Associazione Calcio Milan's Chaz Morley tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Pierre Blowman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Adrian McCormick in the 22nd minute of the match. Pierre Blowman took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Crawshaw, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Chaz Morley was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Dom Hickson might have been able to make a better finish in the 35th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chaz Morley. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dom Hickson ran back to his position shaking his head. Chaz Morley made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dom Hickson in the 44th minute of play. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Wesley Crawshaw to make the kick off. 53 minutes in the game, Dom Hickson fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Chaz Morley having to interfere. Chaz Morley made a fantastic save in the 59th minute, when Kasey Cross sent off a good shot on target. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Smart got free with Chaz Morley in the 61st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Quilmes's Pierre Blowman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Wesley Crawshaw in the 64th minute of play. Micheal Newby hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. The long shot by Ralph Appleton in the 74th minute really tested Chaz Morley's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. With his leg Chaz Morley managed to avoid a goal in the 77thth minute, when Quilmes's Kasey Cross fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Kasey Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Stuart Boxall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Chaz Morley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Stuart Boxall's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Chaz Morley was relentless in the 88th minute of the game.
