Without hesitation aimed to the right of Jonathan Winterbottom, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Garth Castledine had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 89th minute, Garth Castledine reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Jonathan Winterbottom. The goal made the score 2-3. In the 93rd minute, Brian Hutchinson hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jonathan Winterbottom showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Castledine in the 95th minute of the match. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Culcheth eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
