With a couple of smart ball manuevers Stuart Boxall in the 19th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Shawn Hepburn saved FC Barcelona from getting behind. Shawn Hepburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kasey Cross, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a little luck, Quilmes's Pierre Blowman got control of the ball when Christian Cobb tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Quilmes booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Lineker didn't get a good kick on the ball. The goalkeeper, Pierre Blowman, was totally fooled by FC Barcelona's Duncan Blackwell, who 42 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Shawn Hepburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dom Hickson in the 47th minute of the match.

Pierre Blowman came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by FC Barcelona's Christian Cobb. But to his dismay, Christian Cobb quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. Kasey Cross blasted a shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Shawn Hepburn having to make a save. If Timothy Oates had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kasey Cross sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Harry Dwyer's late challenge caught a Quilmes's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Harry Dwyer helped the player get up and apologised. After 72 played minutes FC Barcelona got a freekick which was hit by Harry Dwyer. The supporters of Quilmes booed when FC Barcelona was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Harry Dwyer didn't get a good kick on the ball. Pierre Blowman made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hayden Gold in the 78th minute of play. In the 81st minute, Kasey Cross hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bart Smart's late challenge caught a FC Barcelona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bart Smart helped the player get up and apologised. In the 84th match minute, Quilmes was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bart Smart to maneuver through the defense. A hard shot 88 in the game by Kasey Cross from a close distance when the talented Shawn Hepburn managed to make a qualified save. FC Barcelona's players were relieved.
