Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000,
Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Eddy Oldham made the kick off and thus started the match. In the 4th minute, Andy Ingham got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Verne Brewer placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Wheaton Aston City's Andy Ingham got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Andy Ingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Joey Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Curtis Pitt had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Joey Coleman. Hemel Hempstead's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Curtis Pitt was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-0. If Curtis Pitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joey Coleman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andy Ingham, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. If Curtis Pitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute the ball was on its way in behind Hemel Hempstead's goalkeeper Joey Coleman, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 40 minutes, Ty Wilkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hemel Hempstead's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ty Wilkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Andy Ingham fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Hemel Hempstead's defense didn't have a chance, in the 45th minute, when Andy Ingham scored to the left of an out of position Joey Coleman, making the score, 2-0. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andy Ingham to make the kick off. Ty Wilkins could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 52nd minute of the match, but Samuel Buckley made a huge save. Samuel Buckley was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Ty Wilkins capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Ty Wilkins really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. After 55 minutes, Jon Fuller mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wheaton Aston City and the Hemel Hempstead players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, Wheaton Aston City's Jon Fuller got a free kick in the 55th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cliff Wellings in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joey Coleman prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Wheaton Aston City's Curtis Pitt in the 59th minute got a chance for a shot 59th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Hemel Hempstead's goalie prevented a goal. Joey Coleman showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Curtis Pitt in the 61st minute of the match. Curtis Pitt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Joey Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Andy Ingham got free in front of the goal in the 63rd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Joey Coleman was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind Wheaton Aston City's goalkeeper Samuel Buckley, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 73 minutes into the match, Hemel Hempstead's goal looked a bit too open when Andy Ingham came free, but Joey Coleman reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Curtis Pitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Andy Ingham's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Joey Coleman was relentless in the 82nd minute of the game. After a defensive mix-up in Hemel Hempstead's zone, Curtis Pitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joey Coleman came out of the goal and Curtis Pitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Curtis Pitt came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Wheaton Aston City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Curtis Pitt couldn't finish the play. If Curtis Pitt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Andy Ingham received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Joey Coleman tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Wheaton Aston City had played much better football throughout.
