Spectators: 7565 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1965, VIP seats: 100) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Russell Read took the kick off in the first half of the match. 4 minutes into the match, Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's goal looked a bit too open when Jack North came free, but Sebastian Pope reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's Sebastian Pope got control of the ball when Tristan Sharpe tried to sneak it across the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jack North in the 12th minute of play forced Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's goalkeeper Sebastian Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jack North was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 14th minute. Shepshed's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Sebastian Pope made a fantastic save in the 20th minute, when Tristan Sharpe sent off a good shot on target. Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's Sebastian Pope proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc from getting a goal against them. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tristan Sharpe got free with Sebastian Pope in the 31st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 38 minutes, Tristan Sharpe made it 1-0 with a short kick to the right side. Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's Sebastian Pope tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Tristan Sharpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 41st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimmy Tompkins was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. Shepshed's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Tristan Sharpe's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sebastian Pope read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 55th minute of play. In the 55th match minute, Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carl Wilkes to maneuver through the defense. Sebastian Pope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tristan Sharpe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Tristan Sharpe recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 59th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jimmy Tompkins fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sebastian Pope having to interfere. In the 62ndth minute of the game Tristan Sharpe who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's Sebastian Pope was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jack North received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Sebastian Pope tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastian Pope showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tristan Sharpe in the 67th minute of the match. In the 68th minute Tristan Sharpe shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sebastian Pope saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rich Hilton hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. In the 73rd minute, Terry Connell hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After having played for 75 minutes, Jimmy Tompkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shepshed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jimmy Tompkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Neil White received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Tony Beresford tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tristan Sharpe in the 81st minute of play forced Cristiano Ronaldo 7 fc's goalkeeper Sebastian Pope to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jimmy Tompkins struck a weak shot in the 83rd minute. Sebastian Pope didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shepshed. If Tristan Sharpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sebastian Pope took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jack North, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sebastian Pope didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tristan Sharpe went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jack North in the 92nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sebastian Pope prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Tony Beresford stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Russell Read's shot from short distance in the 96th minute. When the referee ended the match the Shepshed players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
