A collision led to Fnatic FC getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Rob Froggatt hit a great ball. After some careless play in the Fnatic FC defense, Andrew Whitehead kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Trevor Forster. The Fnatic FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Trevor Forster should have stopped the shot. Thomas Davies could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Jacob Bond made a huge save. FC Onion's Jacob Bond played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Felix Hallam in the 16th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Fnatic FC's zone, John Thompson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Forster came out of the goal and John Thompson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Vern Willmott kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. Fnatic FC's Scott Plumber shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 26th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Jacob Bond but with some difficulty. After 26 played minutes Fnatic FC got a freekick which was hit by Felix Hallam. Trevor Forster showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Andrew Whitehead, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. After a defensive mix-up in Fnatic FC's zone, Guy Key stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Forster came out of the goal and Guy Key tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 42nd minute, Andrew Whitehead hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, Fnatic FC's Frank Woodcock got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrew Whitehead in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Trevor Forster prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The Fnatic FC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. FC Onion were winning 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rob Froggatt to make the kick off. The audience was convinced that Guy Key's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Trevor Forster was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. Trevor Forster made an important save on a dangerous shot by Andrew Whitehead in the 65th minute. After 70 played minutes FC Onion got a freekick which was hit by Guy Key. After a defensive mix-up in Fnatic FC's zone, Guy Key stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Trevor Forster came out of the goal and Guy Key tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 75 minutes, Thomas Davies managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fnatic FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Thomas Davies was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Guy Key fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Trevor Forster having to interfere. In the 86th minute, FC Onion's Guy Key dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-2. In the 96th minute, John Thompson made a precise shot to the right of Trevor Forster. Fnatic FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. FC Onion's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
