Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Ray Hales made the kick off and thus started the match. After having played for 3 minutes, Zackary Billington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Newton Abbot's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zackary Billington was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Zackary Billington fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ron Briant having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Fitz Gray hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ron Briant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Stewart Preston in the 15th minute of play. Darren Parry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pierce Armstrong's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. The audience was convinced that Ray Hales's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Darren Parry was relentless in the 19th minute of the game. Stewart Preston received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Ron Briant tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 29th minute, Zackary Billington ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ron Briant was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. Ray Hales might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Darren Parry. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ray Hales ran back to his position shaking his head. Darren Parry stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ray Hales's shot from short distance in the 39th minute. Ronan Titmus's late challenge caught a Newton Abbot's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ronan Titmus helped the player get up and apologised. In the 46th match minute, Lancing AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ronan Titmus to maneuver through the defense. When Zackary Billington came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Newton Abbot fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Zackary Billington couldn't finish the play. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Stewart Preston was the one to do the kick off. Darren Parry made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ray Hales in the 64th minute of play. After 65 played minutes Lancing AFC got a freekick which was hit by Olly Bromley. Fitz Gray kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. After having played for 73 minutes, Zackary Billington managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Miles Wildman during the 74th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Lancing AFC getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Miles Wildman hit a great ball. When Lancing AFC's Ray Hales in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Newton Abbot's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ray Hales in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Darren Parry saved Newton Abbot from getting behind. Charles Chipperfield kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match.
