Spectators: 7500 (Terracing: 5625, Seating: 1725, VIP seats: 150) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Ged Blewitt kicked off to start the match. Jay Power kicked well hit freekick during the 4th minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Verne Barr got free with Hugh Greenwood in the 7th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 15th match minute, Falcons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Godfrey to maneuver through the defense. Verne Barr blasted a shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugh Greenwood having to make a save. Hugh Greenwood made an important save on a dangerous shot by Verne Barr in the 17th minute. Verne Barr sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Giles Branson struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Donald Godfrey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Phil Eagles hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Donald Godfrey's late challenge caught a Cannock's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donald Godfrey helped the player get up and apologised. In the 32nd match minute, Falcons FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Donald Godfrey to maneuver through the defense. Hugh Greenwood showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Verne Barr, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Cannock's Hugh Greenwood played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Giles Branson in the 37th minute of play. Hugh Greenwood stood somewhat misplaced when Verne Barr came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 38 minute. 42 minutes into the game, Falcons FC's Giles Branson nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Hugh Greenwood made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Verne Barr was the one to do the kick off. Hugh Greenwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Verne Barr, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 63 minutes into the match, Verne Barr notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Cannock's Hugh Greenwood. Hugh Greenwood was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 72 played minutes Cannock got a freekick which was hit by Calvin Rashleigh. When the match had gone on for 76 minutes, Verne Barr put it in 5-0 from a short distance just to the right of Hugh Greenwood. If Verne Barr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Cannock's zone, Giles Branson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hugh Greenwood came out of the goal and Giles Branson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hugh Greenwood stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Verne Barr's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. Falcons FC's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Verne Barr in the 94th minute. When the referee ended the match the Falcons FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
