Giles Branson fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Brown having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Cambridge United's zone, Giles Branson stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Joshua Brown came out of the goal and Giles Branson tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Verne Barr fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 15th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joshua Brown having to interfere. The throw-in from Pete Eyre in the 18th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by Falcons FC's Sam Hart. Thomas Denham showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Timothy Moon, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Sam Hart kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. If Verne Barr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. When Donald Godfrey came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Falcons FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Donald Godfrey couldn't finish the play. If Verne Barr had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 45th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joshua Brown showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donald Godfrey in the 47th minute of the match. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Verne Barr struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Joshua Brown didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Falcons FC. 53 minutes into the match, Cambridge United's goalkeeper Joshua Brown had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Donald Godfrey. Joshua Brown made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Verne Barr sent off a good shot on target. Falcons FC were awarded a corner in the 59th minute after Cambridge United's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Verne Barr took the corner. Verne Barr's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 64thth minute, Joshua Brown skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Brandon Lonsdale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Verne Barr could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 71st minute of the match, but Joshua Brown made a huge save. In the 72nd minute of the game, Blair Browne landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. The supporters of Cambridge United booed when Falcons FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position.
