After 8 played minutes Malmesbury got a freekick which was hit by Chaz Atkins. If Trey Cheeseman had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 12 minutes into the match, Kendal's goal looked a bit too open when Basil Moody came free, but Antonio Roma reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Antonio Roma showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Trey Cheeseman, who was totally free with the ball in the 15th minute. Kendal's Antonio Roma played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Basil Moody in the 17th minute of play. In the 19th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kendal's goalkeeper Antonio Roma, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Zane Bray had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Zane Bray's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Brandon Rush read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 25th minute of play. Jonathon Morley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Brandon Rush having to interfere. After having played for 31 minutes, Basil Moody managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmesbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Basil Moody was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trey Cheeseman kicked well hit freekick during the 32nd minute of the match. If Basil Moody had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 39th minute, Basil Moody got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Zane Bray stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Trey Cheeseman took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Antonio Roma to make any attempt to save it. After 60 minutes of play, Malmesbury's Basil Moody made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Antonio Roma was left in no man's land by his defense there! Zane Bray sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zane Bray during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After having played for 68 minutes, Chaz Atkins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Malmesbury's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chaz Atkins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Basil Moody managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmesbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Basil Moody was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Roma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 72 minutes, Jamal Upson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kendal and the Malmesbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. Kendal:s Antonio Roma showed great skill when he stopped Jamie Vine:s penalty. After some fancy dribbling in the 75th minute, Basil Moody managed to get in a good position for a shot. Malmesbury's supporters rose to their feet, but Basil Moody was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Antonio Roma breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kendal's Jonathon Morley suffered a sore thigh after 80 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 80 minutes, Russ Brooks mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Malmesbury and the Kendal players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Malmesbury getting a freekick after 81 minutes play. Russ Brooks hit a great ball. After having played for 87 minutes, Zane Bray managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 89th match minute, Kendal was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Denis Davey to maneuver through the defense. In the 90th minute of the match Antony Bayne shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Antonio Roma showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Although Kendal had been in control for most of the match, Malmesbury still came away with the win.
