The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 6 minutes, Den Laycock mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Venture Electronics and the Dinamo Tropez players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Venture Electronics! In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Dinamo Tropez. Alistair Goodman stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Marc Featherstone. 0-1. Dinamo Tropez's Kenny Peacock got a good chance for a goal in the 13th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giles Seward sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Teddy Brookes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Graeme Crittenden, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The Dinamo Tropez fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. 37 minutes into the match, Dinamo Tropez's Kenny Peacock sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Marc Featherstone narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Dinamo Tropez's Charles Cornish got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Giles Seward received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Teddy Brookes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After the first half Dinamo Tropez were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenny Peacock stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Teddy Brookes came out of the goal in the 53rd minute to try and stop a shot by Venture Electronics's Joseph Woodhall. But to his dismay, Joseph Woodhall quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. 60 minutes into the match, Dinamo Tropez's goal looked a bit too open when Den Laycock came free, but Teddy Brookes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute Kenny Peacock shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marc Featherstone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Venture Electronics's Marc Featherstone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kenny Peacock in the 80th minute of play. If Joseph Woodhall had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Joseph Woodhall received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Teddy Brookes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Venture Electronics were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
