Jerry Lodge took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Vit Boll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Joe Herring got free with Bernardo Pelayo in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Joe Herring had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Pierce Platt's late challenge caught a Undertakers's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Pierce Platt helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Valencia C.F. getting a freekick after 13 minutes play. Pierce Platt hit a great ball. In the 18thth minute of the game Guillem Agulló who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Valencia C.F.'s Jerry Lodge was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. With his leg Bernardo Pelayo managed to avoid a goal in the 19thth minute, when Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. 27 minutes into the match, Valencia C.F.'s Joe Herring sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Bernardo Pelayo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bernardo Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Herring in the 65th minute of play. In the 68th match minute, Valencia C.F. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Miguel Ángel Mista to maneuver through the defense. Jerry Lodge made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rômulo Soeiro in the 71st minute of play. Bernardo Pelayo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joe Herring in the 75th minute of play. If Guillem Agulló had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
