Spectators: 6737 (Terracing: 5000,
Seating: 1737, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andriy Tytarenko started the match with the kick off. Artur Venglynskyi made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Petro Kovalevskyi in the 3rd minute of play. If Petro Kovalevskyi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 13 minutes into the match, Donetsjk FC Dnipro's Yaroslav Yatlenko sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Artur Venglynskyi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Yaroslav Yatlenko blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Artur Venglynskyi having to make a save. Panas Davydovych's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vitaliy Sokolenko read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. Yaroslav Yatlenko sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 41st minute Petro Kovalevskyi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Artur Venglynskyi saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petro Kovalevskyi to make the kick off. Yaroslav Yatlenko scored 1-2 in the 52nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Artur Venglynskyi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Vitaliy Sokolenko took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Panas Davydovych, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Dymytrov Stal's Matviy Polyanskyi got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Matviy Polyanskyi fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dymytrov Stal's protests and gave Matviy Polyanskyi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dymytrov Stal getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Matviy Polyanskyi hit a great ball. When Yaroslav Yatlenko came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Donetsjk FC Dnipro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yaroslav Yatlenko couldn't finish the play. In the 74th minute, Donetsjk FC Dnipro's Mykhaylo Gvozdevych seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mykhaylo Gvozdevych the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Donetsjk FC Dnipro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mykhaylo Gvozdevych had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. One of Donetsjk FC Dnipro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Dymytrov Stal:s goal. In the 82nd minute, Yaroslav Yatlenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Andriy Tytarenko came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Dymytrov Stal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andriy Tytarenko couldn't finish the play. If Panas Davydovych had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 90th minute, Andriy Tytarenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Dymytrov Stal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 94th minute, Andriy Tytarenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitaliy Sokolenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andriy Tytarenko in the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Donetsjk FC Dnipro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dymytrov Stal.
