Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Petro Kovalevskyi to make the kick off. After a rather tough play, Dymytrov Stal's Matviy Polyanskyi got a free kick in the 60th minute. When Matviy Polyanskyi fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Dymytrov Stal's protests and gave Matviy Polyanskyi a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Dymytrov Stal getting a freekick after 63 minutes play. Matviy Polyanskyi hit a great ball. When Yaroslav Yatlenko came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Donetsjk FC Dnipro fans jumped to their feet. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Mykhaylo Gvozdevych the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Donetsjk FC Dnipro protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Mykhaylo Gvozdevych had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 73rd minute of the game. The Dymytrov Stal fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-2. In the 94th minute, Andriy Tytarenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vitaliy Sokolenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Andriy Tytarenko in the 97th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Donetsjk FC Dnipro players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Dymytrov Stal.
