After some careless play in the Ukrainian Cossacks defense, Lucas Månsson kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Andriy Potjkalo. The Ukrainian Cossacks fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Andriy Potjkalo should have stopped the shot. Lucas Månsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Andriy Potjkalo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Horea Rucăreanu's shot from short distance in the 16th minute. Andriy Potjkalo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Horea Rucăreanu in the 18th minute of the match. 19 minutes into the match, Leeds United's Lucas Månsson sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Andriy Potjkalo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Lucas Månsson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Vitaliy Borysiv made the kick off in the second half. Horea Rucăreanu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 59 played minutes Ukrainian Cossacks got a freekick which was hit by Mykyta Didyk. Gennadiy Mandryk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 63rd minute, Horea Rucăreanu managed to get in a good position for a shot. Leeds United's supporters rose to their feet, but Horea Rucăreanu was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andriy Potjkalo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With his leg Andriy Potjkalo managed to avoid a goal in the 68thth minute, when Leeds United's Lucas Månsson fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Lucas Månsson received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Andriy Potjkalo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
