Platon Nesteruk took the ball and in the 34 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Yarema Sobol. Yarema Sobol dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-4. 38 minutes into the match, Simferopolj's goal looked a bit too open when Artem Shkarupa came free, but Yarema Sobol reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simferopolj's Yarema Sobol played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Platon Nesteruk in the 39th minute of play. Yarema Sobol took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Platon Nesteruk, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 48 minutes, Vladyslav Ruday managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Starij-Sambir FC Metalist's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vladyslav Ruday was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Panas Lyubar made the kick off in the second half. If Platon Nesteruk had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. In the 80th minute, Platon Nesteruk got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vladyslav Ruday sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the game, Panas Lyubar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Simferopolj's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Starij-Sambir FC Metalist the free kick. Starij-Sambir FC Metalist's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
