Spectators: 5001 (Terracing: 4001, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Andriy Yereschenko started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute, Yuriy Onysjko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Yuriy Biskup took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yuriy Onysjko, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Yuriy Onysjko received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Yuriy Biskup tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Nazariy Buzila fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Dnipro's protests and gave Nazariy Buzila a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, FC Dnipro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nazariy Buzila to maneuver through the defense. FC Dnipro's Illja Tarakhtiy played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Andriy Yereschenko in the 15th minute of play. Illja Tarakhtiy made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Andriy Yereschenko in the 28th minute of play. Yuriy Biskup came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by FC Dnipro's Viktor Lazarchuk. But to his dismay, Viktor Lazarchuk quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Illja Shumak hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. FC Dynamo Kiev's Yuriy Biskup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Lazarchuk in the 35th minute of play. Yuriy Onysjko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Biskup having to interfere. Viktor Lazarchuk struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Yuriy Biskup didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Dnipro. Andriy Yereschenko's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Illja Tarakhtiy read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 46th minute of play. After having played for 48 minutes, Viktor Lazarchuk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Dnipro's supporters crossed their fingers, but Viktor Lazarchuk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Viktor Lazarchuk to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Yuriy Onysjko made a precise shot to the right of Yuriy Biskup. FC Dynamo Kiev's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2. FC Dynamo Kiev's Yuriy Biskup played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Viktor Lazarchuk in the 62nd minute of play. Yuriy Onysjko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 78th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Biskup having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Viktor Lazarchuk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Yuriy Biskup was relentless in the 79th minute of the game. After 82 played minutes FC Dnipro got a freekick which was hit by Dmytro Grebenozhko. Yuriy Onysjko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yuriy Biskup having to interfere. Yuriy Onysjko succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 86th playminute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vasyl Makhnovskyi in the 95th minute of play forced FC Dnipro's goalkeeper Illja Tarakhtiy to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The FC Dynamo Kiev fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. FC Dnipro were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
