Pavlo Balioz came out of the goal and Gennadiy Nakonechnyi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 21st minute, Yuriy Baranets managed to get in a good position for a shot. Uzhgorod's supporters rose to their feet, but Yuriy Baranets was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pavlo Balioz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Yuriy Baranets scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Pavlo Balioz, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yakiv Korolchuk in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Maxym Maxymyuk prevented the ball from getting in the gole. The audience was convinced that Yakiv Korolchuk's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Maxym Maxymyuk was relentless in the 55th minute of the game.
