Matthew Leach really showed his touch with that goal: 3-0. 18 minutes into the match, Balaklija's goal looked a bit too open when Matthew Leach came free, but Maxym Kozhemyachenko reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 19 minutes into the match, Matthew Leach notched a goal, 4-0, to the right of Balaklija's Maxym Kozhemyachenko. Maxym Kozhemyachenko was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Viktor Mazepa fell near the penalty area in the 23rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kyiv's protests and gave Viktor Mazepa a yellow card for diving instead. In the 23rd match minute, Kyiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Viktor Mazepa to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Balaklija's zone, Demjan Protsyk stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maxym Kozhemyachenko came out of the goal and Demjan Protsyk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Matthew Leach hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, Artem Kozlyuk made a precise shot to the right of Siro Nastasio. Kyiv's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. In the 33rd match minute, Balaklija was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Illja Petrenko to maneuver through the defense. Matthew Leach struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Maxym Kozhemyachenko didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kyiv. Maxym Kozhemyachenko made a fantastic save in the 36th minute, when Viktor Mazepa sent off a good shot on target. Maxym Kozhemyachenko was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Demjan Protsyk showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 5-1 in the 39 minute of play. If Anatoliy Rukavytsya had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Anatoliy Rukavytsya to strike the kick off in the second half. 52 minutes into the match, Balaklija's Anatoliy Rukavytsya sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Siro Nastasio narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Demjan Protsyk received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Maxym Kozhemyachenko tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 56 minutes, Anatoliy Rukavytsya mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Balaklija and the Kyiv players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th minute, Matthew Leach got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Demjan Protsyk recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Artem Kozlyuk in the 64th minute of play forced Kyiv's goalkeeper Siro Nastasio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 69 minutes into the game, Demjan Protsyk cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 7-1. Maxym Kozhemyachenko was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Matthew Leach fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kyiv's protests and gave Matthew Leach a yellow card for diving instead. In the 71st minute, Matthew Leach hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Kyiv made a substitution. Platon Medvid replaced Yuriy Starostyak. In the 73rd match minute, Kyiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matthew Leach to maneuver through the defense. If Matthew Leach had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 81 minutes of play, Kyiv's Demjan Protsyk made it 8-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Maxym Kozhemyachenko was left in no man's land by his defense there! A collision led to Balaklija getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Illja Petrenko hit a great ball. In the 88th match minute, Kyiv was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gennadiy Solovonyuk to maneuver through the defense. Viktor Mazepa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
