A collision led to Horodenka Spartak getting a freekick after 5 minutes play. Anton Shlyk hit a great ball. César Sampaio took the ball and in the 7 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Roman Konyushenko. Roman Konyushenko dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. If Marvin Salamanca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 18th minute, Pylyp Olischuk hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 19th minute, Marvin Salamanca managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Lviv's supporters rose to their feet, but Marvin Salamanca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Roman Konyushenko breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Emil Veenema's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Roman Konyushenko was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. An unexpectedly hard shot by Viktor Bykaniv in the 22nd minute of play forced FC Lviv's goalkeeper Mykhaylo Lelyuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. César Sampaio went to the cornerflag to take it. Pylyp Olischuk charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pylyp Olischuk the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Horodenka Spartak getting a freekick after 37 minutes play. The referee ignored Horodenka Spartak's protests and gave Igor Kogutych a yellow card for diving instead. It was beautiful to see FC Lviv's Inocente Mogrovejo in action when he in the 46th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

After 52 minutes, Viktor Bykaniv mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Horodenka Spartak and the FC Lviv players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of FC Lviv booed when Horodenka Spartak was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gennadiy Smolyarchuk didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 54 minutes, César Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Lviv's supporters crossed their fingers, but César Sampaio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Igor Kogutych was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 55 minutes had been played. After 56 played minutes Horodenka Spartak got a freekick which was hit by Igor Kogutych. 57 minutes into the match, Horodenka Spartak's goalkeeper Roman Konyushenko had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by César Sampaio. Roman Konyushenko showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emil Veenema in the 59th minute of the match. Roman Konyushenko didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 60th minute, which inside left pole to 0-4. 0-5 became the score in the 64th minute when César Sampaio elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 71 minutes into the game, Igor Chekh was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FC Lviv's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Horodenka Spartak the free kick. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 70th minute of the game. One of FC Lviv:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Horodenka Spartak:s goal. In the 73rd minute Horodenka Spartak were awarded a corner. Yarema Bugaychuk went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Yarema Bugaychuk almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but FC Lviv's Mykhaylo Lelyuk did a great save. 75 minutes into the match, FC Lviv's César Sampaio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Roman Konyushenko narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Marko Kapanystyi kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Marvin Salamanca might have been able to make a better finish in the 84th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Roman Konyushenko. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Marvin Salamanca ran back to his position shaking his head. 85 minutes into the game, Emil Veenema recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Roman Konyushenko. Emil Veenema showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-6. After 90 played minutes Horodenka Spartak got a freekick which was hit by Gennadiy Smolyarchuk. César Sampaio could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 92nd minute of the match, but Roman Konyushenko made a huge save.
