In the 9th match minute, Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodion Cherednychenko to maneuver through the defense. Tscherwonosawodske's Borys Sydorskyi got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Vasyl Levyga stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Tykhon Levchenko's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. After a rather tough play, Tscherwonosawodske's Yuriy Kobets got a free kick in the 29th minute. Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's Platon Zakharchenko managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Volodymyr Symonchuk in the 34 minute of the game. When Oleg Nagirnyak fell near the penalty area in the 37th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's protests and gave Oleg Nagirnyak a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's Oleg Nagirnyak got a free kick in the 37th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Yuriy Kobets in the 39th minute of play forced Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's goalkeeper Vasyl Levyga to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Vasyl Levyga made a fantastic save in the 40th minute, when Tykhon Levchenko sent off a good shot on target. 42 minutes into the match, Kyrylo Ivanenko had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Vasyl Levyga. Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kyrylo Ivanenko was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-0. If Kyrylo Ivanenko had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Oleg Nagirnyak stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Lyubomyr Blokhin showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Oleg Nagirnyak in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 54th minute, Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's Yuriy Yaxmanitskyi seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Yuriy Yaxmanitskyi the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Yuriy Yaxmanitskyi had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 55th minute, Yuriy Yaxmanitskyi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's zone, Artem Zaburdaylo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasyl Levyga came out of the goal and Artem Zaburdaylo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's Vasyl Levyga played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kyrylo Ivanenko in the 58th minute of play. Lyubomyr Blokhin was out of position in the 60 minute of play, and Eduard Yefymenko capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Eduard Yefymenko really showed his touch with that goal: 2-1. 64 minutes into the game, Eduard Yefymenko was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tscherwonosawodske the free kick. After having played for 66 minutes, Borys Sydorskyi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tscherwonosawodske's supporters crossed their fingers, but Borys Sydorskyi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 67th minute, Olexandr Yermak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Vasyl Levyga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Kyrylo Ivanenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. In the 73rd minute, Tykhon Levchenko left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Tscherwonosawodske fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-1. Vasyl Levyga showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tykhon Levchenko, who was totally free with the ball in the 76th minute. In the 77th minute, Kyrylo Ivanenko made a precise shot to the right of Vasyl Levyga. Kirovhrad FC Shakhtar's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. Mykola Shalivskyi charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Mykola Shalivskyi the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 85th minute, Eduard Yefymenko reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lyubomyr Blokhin. The goal made the score 4-2. In the 92nd minute, Kyrylo Ivanenko got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Kyrylo Ivanenko fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vasyl Levyga having to interfere. After 95 minutes of play Tscherwonosawodske's Mykola Shalivskyi was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Mykola Shalivskyi kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the referee ended the match the Tscherwonosawodske players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
