He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. Marjan Zdebskyi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tykhon Levchenko in the 28th minute of play forced Meteor's goalkeeper Stanislav Androschuk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After the first half Tscherwonosawodske were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Volodymyr Symonchuk's late challenge caught a Meteor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card.
