Hakkı Devrim Hurmacı made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-3. The Findikli fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-3. Korhan Şemsi hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. 39 minutes into the game, Korhan Şemsi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-4. Ahmet Harun Talayer was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 3-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Savaşer İspirli was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute Savaşer İspirli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hakkı Devrim Hurmacı saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Beşiktaş's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdurrahman Boğataş was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Beşiktaş's Güngör Ersever got a good chance for a goal in the 87th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Olcay Kuter during the 89th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dündar Toraman recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Findikli supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Beşiktaş's performance. The match ended with a win for Beşiktaş.
