ȘİMȘEKLER İZMİR SPOR's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Cabbar Gelenbe succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 2-0 in the 12th playminute. Hüsamettin Pekel made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arif Bilge Tekindağ in the 18th minute of play. 22 minutes into the match, Alpay Özdoa notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of GUqAR's Hüsamettin Pekel. Hüsamettin Pekel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a defensive mix-up in ȘİMȘEKLER İZMİR SPOR's zone, Cabbar Gelenbe stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Serhat Uluhan came out of the goal and Cabbar Gelenbe tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When GUqAR's Berkan Bolat in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. If Cabbar Gelenbe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Serhat Uluhan showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berkan Bolat, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. When Berkan Bolat came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the GUqAR fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Berkan Bolat couldn't finish the play. In the 38th minute the ball was on its way in behind ȘİMȘEKLER İZMİR SPOR's goalkeeper Serhat Uluhan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Berkan Bolat fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Serhat Uluhan having to interfere. After taking down the ball on GUqAR's corner İldeniz Nurbay fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Serhat Uluhan quite easily take care of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Berkan Bolat in the 45th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Serhat Uluhan saved ȘİMȘEKLER İZMİR SPOR from getting behind. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Berkan Bolat to make the kick off. After 51 played minutes GUqAR got a freekick which was hit by Yetkiner Seyyid. After having played for 55 minutes, İldeniz Nurbay managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. GUqAR's supporters crossed their fingers, but İldeniz Nurbay was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The GUqAR fans cheered their team off the field, for while ȘİMȘEKLER İZMİR SPOR had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
