But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hasan Tahsin Temizel couldn't finish the play. If Ahmet Çağrı Süphan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 6th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Karahan Baydak struck a weak shot in the 21st minute. Vatan Helvacıoğlu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Büyük Türkiye Cumhuriyeti. Dinçer Kamran recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Büyük Türkiye Cumhuriyeti's Ömer Nasr played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dinçer Kamran in the 33rd minute of play. Serdar Sadullah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Ömer Nasr tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 36 minutes into the game, Ahmet Tolga Tandoğan was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ataköy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Büyük Türkiye Cumhuriyeti the free kick. In the 36th match minute, Ataköy was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ahmet Tolga Tandoğan to maneuver through the defense. Ataköy's Vatan Helvacıoğlu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmet Çağrı Süphan in the 41st minute of play. In the 46th minute, Serdar Sadullah got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ahmet Çağrı Süphan made a kick off. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Karahan Baydak in the 51st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vatan Helvacıoğlu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Vatan Helvacıoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmet Çağrı Süphan in the 52nd minute of the match. Karahan Baydak sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 64th minute, Ahmet Çağrı Süphan had to leave the field with a concussion. After 64 minutes, Abdulaziz Uçar mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ataköy and the Büyük Türkiye Cumhuriyeti players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Ataköy! The referee gave Büyük Türkiye Cumhuriyeti a penalty, 66 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mümtaz Alpman, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Ataköy's Vatan Helvacıoğlu. 2-0. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hasan Tahsin Temizel during the 69th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 84thth minute of the game Karahan Baydak who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ataköy's Vatan Helvacıoğlu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Serdar Sadullah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ömer Nasr having to interfere. Ömer Nasr made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Dinçer Kamran in the 94th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Ataköy's Veysel Kartekin got a free kick in the 96th minute.
