After a rather tough play, Atlantis FC's Avni Canalp got a free kick in the 7th minute. Rıdvan Nuh might have been able to make a better finish in the 8th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ferhat Balım. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rıdvan Nuh ran back to his position shaking his head. Atlantis FC's Ferhat Balım played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rıdvan Nuh in the 11th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Ahmet Kadri Sureha had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Salih Ceylan. Kocasinan's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ahmet Kadri Sureha was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. İshak Mukbil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ahmet Hafiz Türegün during the 30th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 30 played minutes Atlantis FC got a freekick which was hit by Ahmet Hafiz Türegün. 31 minutes into the match, Işık Rafet sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Ferhat Balım threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Işık Rafet this time. İshak Mukbil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Aşık Aşkın fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Atlantis FC's protests and gave Aşık Aşkın a yellow card for diving instead. In the 36th minute, Aşık Aşkın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 40 minutes of play Atlantis FC's Aşık Aşkın was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Kocasinan booed when Atlantis FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aşık Aşkın didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Rıdvan Nuh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Ahmet Kadri Sureha made the kick off in the second half. After having played for 53 minutes, Rıdvan Nuh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kocasinan's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rıdvan Nuh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Rıdvan Nuh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ferhat Balım having to interfere. Ahmet Kadri Sureha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 67th minute. Salih Ceylan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 69th minute, kaya İpekdal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rıdvan Nuh blasted a shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ferhat Balım having to make a save. If İshak Mukbil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the match, Atlantis FC's Ahmet Kadri Sureha sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Salih Ceylan narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Rıdvan Nuh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Kocasinan's Salih Ceylan got control of the ball when Ahmet Kadri Sureha tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ata Taif kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Sancarbey Yalkın's late challenge caught a Kocasinan's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Sancarbey Yalkın helped the player get up and apologised. The Atlantis FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlantis FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
