In the 12th minute Paul Burca shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Altan Zaim saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 15th minute, Trabzonspor's İbrahim Ethem Devlettin ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Altan Zaim. Altan Zaim yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kubat Ayıkoğlu in the 23rd minute of play forced Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Bilgehan Bağcı to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Carsamba JK booed when Trabzonspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 31 match minutes in a wonderful position. Izydor Kochanowski didn't get a good kick on the ball. Özden Çanak hit a great freekick 32 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 33rd minute, Göksel Kocaker managed to get in a good position for a shot. Trabzonspor's supporters rose to their feet, but Göksel Kocaker was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Altan Zaim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İbrahim Ethem Devlettin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 42nd minute, Gökmen Haseki hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Şeref Egesel stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Göksel Kocaker might have been able to make a better finish in the 53rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Altan Zaim. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Göksel Kocaker ran back to his position shaking his head. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling İbrahim Ethem Devlettin in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Altan Zaim prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After 60 played minutes Trabzonspor got a freekick which was hit by Izydor Kochanowski. Ahmet Kutsi Seferoğlulları thought of kicking away a contribution in front of goal but messed it up so badly that the ball went to the right of an astonished Altan Zaim, a very annoying self made goal in the 64th minute which led to 3-0. If Paul Burca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Carsamba JK's Altan Zaim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Göksel Kocaker in the 74th minute of play. Altan Zaim took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Paul Burca, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After a rather tough play, Trabzonspor's Göksel Kocaker got a free kick in the 80th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Trabzonspor's goalkeeper Bilgehan Bağcı had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kubat Ayıkoğlu. Bilgehan Bağcı took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Şeref Egesel, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 92nd minute Memo Demircan suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Şentürk İstemihan during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Carsamba JK's Şentürk İstemihan got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Paul Burca came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Trabzonspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paul Burca couldn't finish the play. Trabzonspor's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
