An unexpectedly hard shot by Arif Ensar Vefi in the 46th minute of play forced Yenikapi's goalkeeper Tansu Boz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Yenikapi players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Rumelihisari were winning 0-3.

To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Polat İmamoğlus short, quick shot in the 76thth minute got Tansu Boz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 78th match minute, Rumelihisari was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fikri Ağcabey to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Yenikapi's zone, Mehmet Bedri Mazhar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tansu Boz came out of the goal and Mehmet Bedri Mazhar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Rumelihisari were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
