After a defensive mix-up in FENERBAHÇE FC's zone, Umur Talayman stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. İskender Çolakoğlu came out of the goal and Umur Talayman tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. İskender Çolakoğlu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Umur Talayman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arif Çelebi Ekin kicked well hit freekick during the 11th minute of the match. Başaran Turan made a fantastic save in the 15th minute, when Ali Emir Talaş sent off a good shot on target. İskender Çolakoğlu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umur Talayman in the 16th minute of play. Ali Numan Balısoy lost his temper 21 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 20th minute of the game. One of Gaziemir Gücü FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of FENERBAHÇE FC:s goal. Ozan İzzettin shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Burhan Turcan received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Başaran Turan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Gaziemir Gücü FC getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Arif Çelebi Ekin hit a great ball. After a rather tough play, FENERBAHÇE FC's Ozan İzzettin got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Başaran Turan acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 37th minute, took the ball on the long shot from Ozan İzzettin. The supporters of FENERBAHÇE FC booed when Gaziemir Gücü FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 39 match minutes in a wonderful position. Arif Çelebi Ekin didn't get a good kick on the ball. İskender Çolakoğlu showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ergün Toregün in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 44th minute, Ertan Yumlu hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ergün Toregün received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 46th minute. İskender Çolakoğlu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Burhan Turcan to strike the kick off in the second half. Ali Emir Talaş fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Başaran Turan having to interfere. Ergün Toregün recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 63rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Arif Çelebi Ekin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Gaziemir Gücü FC's Recai İdil got a free kick in the 67th minute. Ali Emir Talaş took the ball and in the 70 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Başaran Turan. Başaran Turan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. After 77 minutes, Ergün Toregün made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. FENERBAHÇE FC's İskender Çolakoğlu tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Burhan Turcan in the 91st minute of play forced Gaziemir Gücü FC's goalkeeper Başaran Turan to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 92nd minute Ali Emir Talaş shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Başaran Turan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ergün Toregün was extremely unlucky when he, in the 96th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
