Cuma Danış showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Onur Şanalp, who was totally free with the ball in the 9th minute. MERSİNSPOR FK's Ayvaz Ekemen got a good chance for a goal in the 17th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Cuma Danış didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from İlhan Akmeşe went, in the 19th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. When İlhan Akmeşe came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the MERSİNSPOR FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that İlhan Akmeşe couldn't finish the play. Onur Şanalp fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cuma Danış having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Hizan's Coşkun Bozkaya got a free kick in the 27th minute. Sertaç Akay's late challenge caught a MERSİNSPOR FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. Onur Şanalp received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Cuma Danış tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Ayvaz Ekemen came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the MERSİNSPOR FK fans jumped to their feet. But to his dismay, Carlos Xacintu quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. MERSİNSPOR FK's Onur Şanalp got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 67 minutes into the match, Onur Şanalp dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Cuma Danış, 0-4. In the 71st minute, Ayvaz Ekemen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Cuma Danış was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-5. In the 73rd match minute, MERSİNSPOR FK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlos Xacintu to maneuver through the defense. An unexpected shot in the 76th minute by Onur Şanalp got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Köksal Cansoy kicked well hit freekick during the 92nd minute of the match. MERSİNSPOR FK's İlhan Akmeşe got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the final whistle sounded MERSİNSPOR FK left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Hizan.
