Necip Fazıl Melihs short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Hayyam Baba to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of EKMEK SPOR booed when Emirgazi FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Yahya Özbilek didn't get a good kick on the ball. Emirgazi FK's goalkeeper couldn't reach when Seyit Onural 11 minutes into the game got a good kick on the ball which found its way into goal just inside left pole. 2-0. Emirgazi FK's defense didn't have a chance, in the 14th minute, when Sami Budaklı scored to the left of an out of position Hayyam Baba, making the score, 3-0. Özkan Yalkın hit a great freekick 16 minutes into the match. Dursun Ali Özerkmen's shot from long distance in the 20th minute was not bad at all, but Emirgazi FK's Hayyam Baba knew what was happening and pushed the ball into his arms just before it hit the right post. Seyit Onural sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Emirgazi FK's Hayyam Baba played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sami Budaklı in the 28th minute of play. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Yahya Özbilek couldn't finish the play. Sami Budaklı fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayyam Baba having to interfere. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 3-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Özkan Yalkın to make the kick off. Emirgazi FK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EKMEK SPOR the free kick. In the 92nd minute Ahmet Hayri Kayrahan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alpertunga Canfeda saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 93 minutes, Kayhan Akaltan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. EKMEK SPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Kayhan Akaltan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. EKMEK SPOR fully deserved thier win.
