In the 24th match minute, Saricakaya SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Akgün Akdamar to maneuver through the defense. After some fancy dribbling in the 28th minute, Saltuk Yılhan managed to get in a good position for a shot. fC £nergie CoTTbus's supporters rose to their feet, but Saltuk Yılhan was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdullah Şahinalp breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Saltuk Yılhan in the 31st minute of play forced Saricakaya SK's goalkeeper Abdullah Şahinalp to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.

The wind increased when Akgün Akdamar made the kick off in the second half. In the 57th minute, Sylwester Marchefka sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Saricakaya SK's Abdullah Şahinalp didn't even have to move. When Sylwester Marchefka came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the fC £nergie CoTTbus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sylwester Marchefka couldn't finish the play. Sylwester Marchefka received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Abdullah Şahinalp tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdullah Şahinalp took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mikail Yavuzcan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute, fC £nergie CoTTbus's Sylwester Marchefka ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Abdullah Şahinalp. Abdullah Şahinalp yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 5-1. The supporters of Saricakaya SK booed when fC £nergie CoTTbus was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 89 match minutes in a wonderful position.
