Göktürk Kadir kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. Galatasaray's Cemal Ayık got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bora Olcaytu took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cemal Ayık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cemal Ayık struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Bora Olcaytu didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Galatasaray. The supporters of Galatasaray booed when Kapalicarsi JK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Göktürk Kadir didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 45th minute, Kutalp Canal left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Kapalicarsi JK fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Cemal Ayık to strike the kick off in the second half. Türkeş Başkara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gürcan Gagauz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. Galatasaray's Utku Mukbil got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience was convinced that Cemal Ayık's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bora Olcaytu was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. One of Galatasaray:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Kapalicarsi JK:s goal. Göktürk Kadir walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. Through an outstanding action, after 88 minutes, Türkeş Başkara successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Kapalicarsi JK's Bora Olcaytu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cemal Ayık in the 94th minute of play. 95 minutes into the match, Galatasaray's goalkeeper Türkeş Başkara had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kutalp Canal. Galatasaray's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
