Spectators: 6673 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1673, VIP seats: 0) FC KARTAL's Baturhan Toygun started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cihangir Beyhan in the 2nd minute of play forced FC KARTAL's goalkeeper Mazhar İlksel to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Mazhar İlksel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erkan Zeynelabidin, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahmet Refik Belen hit a great freekick 9 minutes into the match. Tugay Rekin didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Tomas Glanselius went, in the 11th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. A collision led to Mesudiye getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Şadi Özerdal hit a great ball. Baturhan Toygun took the ball and in the 23 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Tugay Rekin. Tugay Rekin dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Mesudiye's Tugay Rekin played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baturhan Toygun in the 27th minute of play. If Tomas Glanselius had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 31 minutes into the game, FC KARTAL's Baturhan Toygun nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tugay Rekin made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. If Baturhan Toygun had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 43rd minute Bekir Zülfü shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tugay Rekin saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the match clock showed 45 minutes, the score became 0-4 when Bekir Zülfü sped through Mesudiye's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Tugay Rekin. After the first half FC KARTAL were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Erkan Zeynelabidin to make the kick off. Baturhan Toygun was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 51st minute. FC KARTAL's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 54th match minute, FC KARTAL was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Yusuf Bahadır Usbey to maneuver through the defense. When Tomas Glanselius came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the FC KARTAL fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tomas Glanselius couldn't finish the play. Tomas Glanselius succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-5 in the 62nd playminute. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomas Glanselius kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Tugay Rekin. That made the score 0-6 in the 69 minute of play. Baturhan Toygun might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Tugay Rekin. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Baturhan Toygun ran back to his position shaking his head. Tomas Glanselius sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. FC KARTAL's Tomas Glanselius got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Baturhan Toygun received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Tugay Rekin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Vacib Benlioğlu took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 91st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tugay Rekin. Mesudiye's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 93rd minute of the match Vacib Benlioğlu shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tugay Rekin showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Tugay Rekin made a fantastic save in the 94th minute, when Tomas Glanselius sent off a good shot on target. In the 96th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mesudiye's goalkeeper Tugay Rekin, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. FC KARTAL played a much better game than Mesudiye and deserved their victory. The Mesudiye players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
