Kıvanç Akasma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. In the 48th minute, Mersin's Haluk Nurdag ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Gürkan Sehim. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Gürkan Sehim showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. But to his dismay, Haluk Nurdag quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Haluk Nurdag in the 86th minute of play forced Saimbeyli's goalkeeper Gürkan Sehim to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talip Akdamar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 90thth minute tested the skills of Şerafettin İlhanoğlu when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Saimbeyli's Gürkan Sehim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Haluk Nurdag in the 95th minute of play.
