Ahmet Nafiz Samih came out of the goal and Ferman Yalçuk tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Ahmet Orhan Uğursoy came up free with the goalie in the 35th minute, the Düzköy FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ahmet Orhan Uğursoy couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yaşar Nuri Kamuran in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Talat Böke prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yaşar Nuri Kamuran's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Talat Böke read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 41st minute of play. After some careless play in the Izmit defense, Ali Erdem Hirfanlı kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Talat Böke. The Izmit fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Talat Böke should have stopped the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Şener Oykut was the one to do the kick off. In the 51st minute, Efekan Pertev hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ahmet Orhan Uğursoy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Talat Böke made an important save on a dangerous shot by Yaşar Nuri Kamuran in the 58th minute. Ali Erdem Hirfanlı recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ahmet Nafiz Samih showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Şenel Kahraman in the 64th minute of the match. When Düzköy FK's Ahmet Orhan Uğursoy in the 66th minute got a chance for a shot 66th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Izmit's goalie prevented a goal. In the 66th minute, Resulhan Aydın hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cesur Satvet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Talat Böke tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Yaşar Nuri Kamuran could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 73rd minute of the match, but Talat Böke made a huge save. Ferman Yalçuk sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
