Günay Özkok's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eşref Oğuztan read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 35th minute of play. İzmirSpor's Eşref Oğuztan proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save İzmirSpor from getting a goal against them. In the 96thth minute of the game Ertaç Poyraz who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but İzmirSpor's Eşref Oğuztan was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The tLg Footbal Club manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing İzmirSpor to win.
