Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Adem Acabay kicked off to start the match. In the 17th minute, Ahmet Reha Işınbay ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Şafak Hünkar was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Şafak Hünkar took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahmet Reha Işınbay, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Şafak Hünkar stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Reis Çetin's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. Şafak Hünkar showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mehmet Emin Yoran in the 35th minute of the match. Ahmet Bedri Pektürk scored 0-4 in the 36th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Şafak Hünkar, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ahmet Reha Işınbay in the 42nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Şafak Hünkar saved Celtikci from getting behind. Şafak Hünkar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Bedri Pektürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 44th minute. After the first half GİRESUNSPOR were leading 0-4. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ahmet Bedri Pektürk was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Celtikci's goal looked a bit too open when Reis Çetin came free, but Şafak Hünkar reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Celtikci's Şafak Hünkar got control of the ball when Ahmet Reha Işınbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Reis Çetin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. GİRESUNSPOR's supporters crossed their fingers, but Reis Çetin was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Celtikci's Şafak Hünkar got control of the ball when Ahmet Reha Işınbay tried to sneak it across the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ahmet Bedri Pektürk in the 82nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Şafak Hünkar prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Mehmet Emin Yoran who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Şafak Hünkar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Reis Çetin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 86th minute. Şafak Hünkar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mehmet Emin Yoran sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reis Çetin struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Şafak Hünkar didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for GİRESUNSPOR. Şafak Hünkar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet Bedri Pektürk, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. When the final whistle sounded GİRESUNSPOR left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Celtikci.
