SAKARYA CLUB's Sakut Gülen proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 4th minute of the match, managed to save SAKARYA CLUB from getting a goal against them. A collision led to SAKARYA CLUB getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alim İslam hit a great ball. SAKARYA CLUB's Tolek Setara got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolek Setara in the 21st minute of play forced Gölbaşıspor's goalkeeper Gencalp Dölek to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Baransel Haseki recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 24 minutes into the match, Tolek Setara notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Gölbaşıspor's Gencalp Dölek. Gencalp Dölek was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Gencalp Dölek took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Baransel Haseki, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 30th minute, Yakup Kadri Uraltan reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sakut Gülen. The goal made the score 1-3. After a rather tough play, SAKARYA CLUB's Kağan Kabadayı got a free kick in the 33rd minute. Erol Yürüker received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sakut Gülen tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alim İslam was shown his second yellow card after 36 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 37th minute, Alim İslam hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 42nd minute, Arcan Ergün made a precise shot to the right of Sakut Gülen. SAKARYA CLUB's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 2-4 when Tolek Setara sped through Gölbaşıspor's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Gencalp Dölek. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 2-4 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Erol Yürüker to strike the kick off in the second half. Veysel Suni's late challenge caught a SAKARYA CLUB's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Veysel Suni helped the player get up and apologised. After 56 played minutes Gölbaşıspor got a freekick which was hit by Veysel Suni. If Tolek Setara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SAKARYA CLUB's Tolek Setara got a good chance for a goal in the 66th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Kağan Kabadayı had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 69th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After 71 minutes of play Gölbaşıspor's Veysel Suni was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Tolek Setara in the 78th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Gencalp Dölek saved Gölbaşıspor from getting behind. Gölbaşıspor's Gencalp Dölek played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kağan Kabadayı in the 79th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolek Setara in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gencalp Dölek prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Baransel Haseki had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 81st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gencalp Dölek stood somewhat misplaced when Tolek Setara came free in front of goal and shot 2-7 to the left of him in the 83 minute. Gencalp Dölek had great luck who in the 86thth minute grab hold of the ball when Tolek Setara from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. In the 88th minute, Baransel Haseki got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 93 minutes into the game, Kamil Demirci was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gölbaşıspor's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SAKARYA CLUB the free kick.
