After 39 played minutes Karaman got a freekick which was hit by Seçkin İdris. Baturalp Türev came out of the goal in the 40th minute to try and stop a shot by Borussia Dortmund's Serter Fazilet. But to his dismay, Serter Fazilet quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-6. Baturalp Türev showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Korkutalp Hacıoğlu in the 46th minute of the match. Şemsettin Yalınç's late challenge caught a Borussia Dortmund's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Şemsettin Yalınç helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Karaman's Şemsettin Yalınç got a free kick in the 47th minute. When Borussia Dortmund's Serter Fazilet in the 48th minute got a chance for a shot 48th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Karaman's goalie prevented a goal.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Serter Fazilet stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. With his leg Baturalp Türev managed to avoid a goal in the 53rdth minute, when Borussia Dortmund's Korkutalp Hacıoğlu fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. In the 59th minute, Seçkin İdris made a precise shot to the right of Nadir Sartık. Borussia Dortmund's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-6. The referee ignored Karaman's protests and gave Savaşer İnanoğlu a yellow card for diving instead. Savaşer İnanoğlu kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. In the 78th minute, Korkutalp Hacıoğlu got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Karaman's Savaşer İnanoğlu got a free kick in the 81st minute. If Korkutalp Hacıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nadir Sartık took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yavuz Bülent Uygan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Savaşer İnanoğlu hit a great freekick 92 minutes into the match. If Korkutalp Hacıoğlu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match was over Borussia Dortmund could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Karaman throughout the match.
