In the 3rd match minute, Karaköy SK was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kıraç Savlet to maneuver through the defense. Ertunç Kani struck a weak shot in the 8th minute. Lemi Orkut didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Kalender FK. In the 12th minute, Karaköy SK's Berk Tümkut seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Berk Tümkut the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Karaköy SK protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Berk Tümkut had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In the 11th minute, one of Karaköy SK:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Karaköy SK. The goalkeeper, Lemi Orkut, was totally fooled by Kalender FK's Mehmet Ali Tekgül, who 14 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Orkun Aydemir showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aytekin Kınık in the 17th minute of the match. Ertunç Kani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Lemi Orkut read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 18th minute of play. Ertunç Kani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Lemi Orkut tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 51 minutes of play, Kalender FK's Deniz Gezer made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lemi Orkut was left in no man's land by his defense there! Deniz Gezer struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. In the 60th minute Ertunç Kani shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lemi Orkut saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Karaköy SK's Lemi Orkut played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ertunç Kani in the 62nd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Deniz Gezer managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kalender FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Deniz Gezer was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lemi Orkut breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. İnanç Sefaaddin blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Lemi Orkut having to make a save. 79 minutes into the game, Kalender FK's Ertunç Kani nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lemi Orkut made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ertunç Kani in the 82nd minute of play forced Karaköy SK's goalkeeper Lemi Orkut to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 87thth minute of the game Deniz Gezer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Karaköy SK's Lemi Orkut was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Aytekin Kınık fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Orkun Aydemir having to interfere. Kıraç Savlet's late challenge caught a Kalender FK's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kıraç Savlet helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Kalender FK booed when Karaköy SK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 90 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kıraç Savlet didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Ertunç Kani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 93 played minutes Karaköy SK got a freekick which was hit by Arda Baybars Cemre. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Kalender FK fans cheered their team off the field, for while Karaköy SK had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
