Burhanettin Vefik ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, FeNeRBaHCe's goal looked a bit too open when Burhanettin Vefik came free, but Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ayhan Kemal hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, FeNeRBaHCe's Sezgin Toktuğ got a free kick in the 21st minute. Abdulmelik İnanoğlu fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernest Negruț having to interfere. With a little luck, Zonguldakspor's Ernest Negruț got control of the ball when Özal Aybar tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sezgin Toktuğ received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Ernest Negruț tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ernest Negruț showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ünsal İldemir, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Burhanettin Vefik in the 37th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Tekin Uzsoy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 39 minutes into the match, Burhanettin Vefik had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. FeNeRBaHCe's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Burhanettin Vefik was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Zonguldakspor's Rıza Varol got a good chance for a goal in the 43rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Abdulmelik İnanoğlu made the kick off in the second half. Zonguldakspor's Rıza Varol got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 52 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Zonguldakspor! Berkay Garipbaş shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. If Sezgin Toktuğ had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Zonguldakspor getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Ilgaz Ekvan hit a great ball. Burhanettin Vefik's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 66thth minute, Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. In the 69th minute, Zonguldakspor's Burhanettin Vefik ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. When the match had gone on for 75 minutes, Burhanettin Vefik put it in 0-4 from a short distance just to the right of Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. The supporters of FeNeRBaHCe booed when Zonguldakspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Refik Baybars didn't get a good kick on the ball. 85 minutes into the match, Burhanettin Vefik notched a goal, 0-5, to the right of FeNeRBaHCe's Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Burhanettin Vefik had several of the FeNeRBaHCe's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 93 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-6 score and a disappointed Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan as he didn't even see the shot coming. The crowd rose to their feet as Zonguldakspor's Burhanettin Vefik slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Yusuf Ziya Oğuzhan. That made the score 0-7 after 98 minutes of play. The FeNeRBaHCe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Zonguldakspor were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
