In the 7th minute, Kağan Haksever ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bernard Kosmatka was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. sevinçspor's Torbjörn Söderkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 12th minute Kerim Tandoğdu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Kosmatka saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernard Kosmatka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kerim Tandoğdu in the 12th minute of play. Torbjörn Söderkvist sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. sevinçspor's Ahmet Koralp Berksu got a good chance for a goal in the 22nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The supporters of Kirklareli JK booed when sevinçspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmet Orhan Sadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. sevinçspor's Torbjörn Söderkvist got a good chance for a goal in the 29th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 30 minutes into the game, Kağan Haksever was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Kirklareli JK's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave sevinçspor the free kick. Savaş Orguntay showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Onur Ali Bedük in the 44th minute of the match. Baykam Tekinay kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Hızır Aksun fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernard Kosmatka having to interfere.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Torbjörn Söderkvist stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Kirklareli JK getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Güner Uçman hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Torbjörn Söderkvist's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Savaş Orguntay was relentless in the 54th minute of the game. After 55 minutes, Onur Ali Bedük mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the sevinçspor and the Kirklareli JK players grew even worse after the yellow card. Bernard Kosmatka took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hızır Aksun, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Erdinç Bucak's late challenge caught a sevinçspor's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Erdinç Bucak helped the player get up and apologised. In the 85th minute, Erdinç Bucak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a rather tough play, sevinçspor's Mustafa Haydar Orus got a free kick in the 89th minute. Onur Ali Bedük recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bernard Kosmatka made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hızır Aksun in the 95th minute of play. After 96 minutes sevinçspor's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Cuma Şahinhan who took care of the corner kick. A nice corner shot did that Erdinç Bucak got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Bernard Kosmatka quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save.
