Tolga Özdoa scored 0-1 in the 2nd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Bumin Özgu, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice moves Doğuhan Akkanoğlu could shoot a difficult shot in the 6th minute, which Baykal Serimer however easily saved by the left post. Doğuhan Akkanoğlu received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 11th minute. Baykal Serimer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tolga Özdoa in the 15th minute of play forced Alasehir's goalkeeper Bumin Özgu to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Talip Nesip received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Bumin Özgu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alasehir's Bumin Özgu played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolga Özdoa in the 20th minute of play. Baykal Serimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Şemsettin Yalçuk in the 23rd minute of play. After 27 minutes, Şemsettin Yalçuk mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Alasehir and the Merzifon FK players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Alasehir getting a freekick after 27 minutes play. Şemsettin Yalçuk hit a great ball. Şemsettin Yalçuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baykal Serimer having to interfere. Doğuhan Akkanoğlu struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Baykal Serimer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alasehir. 36 minutes into the match, Tolga Özdoa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Alasehir's Bumin Özgu. Bumin Özgu was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. A collision led to Merzifon FK getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Tolga Özdoa hit a great ball. Şemsettin Yalçuk fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Baykal Serimer having to interfere. In the 45th minute, Talip Nesip got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

The wind increased when Tolga Özdoa made the kick off in the second half. Baykal Serimer made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Doğuhan Akkanoğlu in the 54th minute of play. Onur Ali Ungur hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. In the 70th minute, Cüneyt Aybar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Baykal Serimer didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Doğuhan Akkanoğlu went, in the 73rd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-3 was the resulting score. The supporters of Alasehir booed when Merzifon FK was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tolga Özdoa didn't get a good kick on the ball. Doğuhan Akkanoğlu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 78th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 80thth minute of the game Tolga Özdoa who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Alasehir's Bumin Özgu was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tolga Özdoa in the 80th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bumin Özgu prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Şemsettin Yalçuk's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Baykal Serimer read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 82nd minute of play. With an all-out effort, Merzifon FK's Bumin Özgu threw himself towards the right post 84 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Tolga Özdoa, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Bumin Özgu made an important save on a dangerous shot by Talip Nesip in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Şemsettin Yalçuk left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Alasehir fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-3. In the 93rd minute Doğuhan Akkanoğlu shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Baykal Serimer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merzifon FK's Baykal Serimer played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doğuhan Akkanoğlu in the 94th minute of play. When Tolga Özdoa came up free with the goalie in the 95th minute, the Merzifon FK fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tolga Özdoa couldn't finish the play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Merzifon FK had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
