In the 21st minute, Denizli's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Talip Nesip fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tolga Özdoa was the one to do the kick off. Merzifon FK's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Baykal Serimer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Recep Talha Neşet, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Emirşah Hakyemez struck a weak shot in the 69th minute. Baykal Serimer didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Denizli. 79 minutes into the match, Denizli's goal looked a bit too open when Talip Nesip came free, but Arif Ensar Hekim reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Denizli's Arif Ensar Hekim played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tolga Özdoa in the 80th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Recep Talha Neşet kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Baykal Serimer. That made the score 2-1 in the 85 minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Recep Talha Neşet in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Baykal Serimer saved Merzifon FK from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Tolga Özdoa managed to get in a good position for a shot. Merzifon FK's supporters rose to their feet, but Tolga Özdoa was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Arif Ensar Hekim breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Denizli's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
