Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Şenel Türker showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahmet İlke Uz, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. Şenel Türker made an important save on a dangerous shot by Panait Ştiubei in the 9th minute. If Vedat Uzcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Şenel Türker made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Panait Ştiubei sent off a good shot on target. balıkesirspor's Şenel Türker proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 11th minute of the match, managed to save balıkesirspor from getting a goal against them. 13 minutes into the match, balıkesirspor's goalkeeper Şenel Türker had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Panait Ştiubei. Okanay Aşkıner could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Şenel Türker made a huge save. If Vedat Uzcan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ahmet İlke Uz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 25 minutes into the match, balıkesirspor's goal looked a bit too open when Ahmet İlke Uz came free, but Şenel Türker reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, balıkesirspor's Necmi Alp got a free kick in the 25th minute. balıkesirspor's Şenel Türker played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Erkut Tümer in the 27th minute of play. Şenel Türker made a fantastic save in the 29th minute, when Panait Ştiubei sent off a good shot on target. Cem Akçakıl was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 31 minutes into the match. In the 30th minute, one of balıkesirspor:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for balıkesirspor. Ahmet Kutsi Rafetoğulları hit a great freekick 36 minutes into the match. In the 37th minute of the match Panait Ştiubei shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Şenel Türker showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After 38 played minutes balıkesirspor got a freekick which was hit by Batıhan Sakman. Panait Ştiubei could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 43rd minute of the match, but Şenel Türker made a huge save. The supporters of balıkesirspor booed when Çelik spor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tahir Tuğsan didn't get a good kick on the ball. When Bayezit Aurelio fell near the penalty area in the 45th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored balıkesirspor's protests and gave Bayezit Aurelio a yellow card for diving instead. In the 45th match minute, balıkesirspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bayezit Aurelio to maneuver through the defense. Şenel Türker made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Panait Ştiubei in the 49th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Necmi Alp made a kick off. Necmi Alp fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 55th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball went over. It was a very nice shot. Necmi Alp could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 58th minute of the match, but Andres Tximitx made a huge save. After 63 played minutes balıkesirspor's Necmi Alp stole the ball from his opponents and shot the ball towards the upper left corner, but Andres Tximitx stretched himself as far as he could, and stopped the ball from passing the line. robbing Çelik spor of the goal. Andres Tximitx didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 63rd minute, which inside left pole to 2-1. In the 84th minute Panait Ştiubei shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Şenel Türker saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. balıkesirspor's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Necmi Alp in the 88th minute. Necmi Alp made a great header on balıkesirspor's corner, it was just that Çelik spor's Andres Tximitx managed to reach the ball for a save. Şenel Türker came out of the goal in the 95th minute to try and stop a shot by Çelik spor's Panait Ştiubei. But to his dismay, Panait Ştiubei quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. balıkesirspor's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
